Description For Software Development Engineer, Amazon Connect (AWS)

AWS Applications and Higher Level Abstractions (Apps) provides horizontal and industry vertical applications for business users with the same on-demand scalability, reliability, pay-as-you-go pricing, and machine learning expertise that drive AWS services. The AWS Applications group includes services such as Amazon Connect (a cost-effective cloud contact center), End User Computing, Marketing Tech, and Autonomous Checkout and Biometric Identity Services.

As a Software Development Engineer for Amazon Connect, you'll be part of a team launching products with direct and massive impact on Amazon's customers. Amazon Connect is a highly disruptive cloud-based contact center that enables businesses to deliver engaging, dynamic, and personal customer service experiences. It leverages the power of Artificial Intelligence and the large ecosystem of AWS services to provide a truly frustration-free, easy-to-use, extensible, and natural customer experience.

Key responsibilities:

  • Own code end-to-end from design to development
  • Work closely with senior technical leaders within the team and across AWS
  • Develop scalable, resilient systems while maintaining a constant customer focus
  • Solve complex engineering and algorithmic problems
  • Work with modern web, SOA, NoSQL databases, AI, ML, and Big Data technologies

Requirements For Software Development Engineer, Amazon Connect (AWS)

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, or 3+ years of building complex software systems experience (preferred)
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience (preferred)
