Software Development Engineer, CloudWatch Application Signals

CloudWatch Application Signals, launched in 2024, is a new AWS service that enables customers to automatically instrument their applications on AWS for monitoring current application health and tracking long-term performance against business objectives. The team's mission is to delight customers by helping them operate their applications through a highly available, scalable, and secure service that instruments, observes, and monitors their applications.

As an experienced engineer on the team, you will:

• Work closely with engineering staff, product managers, and UX designers
• Interact directly with customers
• Play a key role in defining technology strategies for the product
• Be a technical leader and force-multiplier in the team
• Have the opportunity to build, influence, and shape a new AWS service

This role is part of the Utility Computing (UC) organization, which provides product innovations from foundational services like S3 and EC2 to new features that set AWS apart in the industry.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year to $223,600/year, depending on the geographic market. Amazon offers a total compensation package that may include equity, sign-on payments, and a full range of benefits.
