AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. The Boost Elements team within the Data Center Operating Systems team is responsible for automating and optimizing parts management within AWS data centers.
As a Software Development Engineer II, you will:
- Support the vision to provide right parts to technicians at the right time
- Work on highly scalable distributed systems
- Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and other engineers
- Make influential decisions on system architecture and feature development
- Mentor junior engineers and raise coding standards
- Own, design, build, and deliver technically challenging projects

The role involves working with Data Center Technicians, Hardware Engineers, and Supply Chain Operators to manage parts efficiently within AWS Data Centers. You'll be building systems that enable AWS to rapidly grow while maintaining its position as a pioneer in cloud computing.

The base pay ranges from $129,300 to $223,600 per year depending on location, plus equity, sign-on payments, and comprehensive benefits.
