Software Development Engineer II, Sponsored Brands Advertising

Sponsored Brands (SB) as part of Amazon Advertising org is building world-class brand shopping experiences to define and deliver a collection of brand shopping products that drive long-term customer value. As a Software Development Engineer II in this role, you will:

• Work on SB Ad Serving services - a low-latency, high TPS, distributed system
• Serve billions of Amazon shoppers and millions of Advertisers internationally
• Contribute to cross-org architectural and business projects with high impact and visibility
• Partner with various teams within Amazon to build new APIs and work with scientists
• Develop unique and engaging features used by millions of customers
• Have the opportunity to learn, have fun, and make a positive impact on millions of customers

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop software for the full development life cycle
• Implement coding standards, participate in code reviews, and manage source control
• Work on build processes, testing, and operations
• Solve complex problems and convert ambiguous requirements into structured solutions
• Communicate requirements and technical designs with both technical and non-technical audiences

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience with object-oriented design and modern languages such as Java, C++, or C#
• Sharp problem-solving skills
• Experience with Amazon Web Services, Machine Learning & Advertising is a plus

Amazon offers a competitive compensation package, including equity, sign-on payments, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year to $223,600/year, depending on the geographic market and other factors.
