As a Software Development Engineer II in this role, you will:
- Work on SB Ad Serving services - a low-latency, high TPS, distributed system
- Serve billions of Amazon shoppers and millions of Advertisers internationally
- Contribute to cross-org architectural and business projects with high impact and visibility
- Partner with various teams within Amazon to build new APIs and work with scientists
- Develop unique and engaging features used by millions of customers
- Have the opportunity to learn, have fun, and make a positive impact on millions of customers
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop software for the full development life cycle
- Implement coding standards, participate in code reviews, and manage source control
- Work on build processes, testing, and operations
- Solve complex problems and convert ambiguous requirements into structured solutions
- Communicate requirements and technical designs with both technical and non-technical audiences
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with object-oriented design and modern languages such as Java, C++, or C#
- Sharp problem-solving skills
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, Machine Learning & Advertising is a plus
Amazon offers a competitive compensation package, including equity, sign-on payments, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year to $223,600/year, depending on the geographic market and other factors.
