Software Development Engineer III, Center for Infrastructure Software and Controls

The Center for Infrastructure Software and Controls at Amazon drives the development, execution, and continuous improvement of critical solutions within the Amazon Data Center Network worldwide. We are seeking an SDE III capable of developing next-gen software platforms and automation solutions for our complex, global environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and deploying complex automation control systems and supporting infrastructure
• Working across multiple layers of the automation stack, from embedded systems to cloud-based solutions
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams on control system deployments, commissioning, and support
• Innovating on behalf of customers through custom hardware and software technology solutions

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in industrial control systems, control theory, and system integration
• Ability to work with embedded PLC and DCS firmware, SCADA and HMI interfaces, back-end control systems, and cloud-based monitoring platforms
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to succeed in an open, collaborative environment
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time for on-site work
