Software Development Engineer, INTech

Amazon's INTech team is seeking a Software Development Engineer to help create technology that enables sustainable growth for Amazon Stores across emerging markets. The role focuses on:

• Building distributed systems that are transactional, scalable, high throughput, and fault tolerant
• Working on Tier-1 services supporting 300+ million customers
• Developing solutions that unlock greater selection, lower prices, and faster delivery
• Creating features that solve local problems for customers and seller partners globally
• Designing and implementing both frontend UI and backend services
• Working with tax compliance in complex jurisdictions

The INTech team in Mexico City consists of about 40 experienced Amazonians who tackle complex problems daily. The team maintains a low on-call load to focus on bigger picture challenges. They organize monthly team events including bowling, soccer games, and hiking.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and developing highly available services
• Processing hundreds of billions of requests daily
• Leading investigations and architecture for expanding Amazon Retail features
• Writing and reviewing code
• Creating design reviews
• Participating in operational reviews
