Software Development Engineer (ML), AGI Foundations

The Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) fine tuning team at Amazon is seeking a passionate, talented, and inventive ML Engineer with a strong machine learning background to lead the development of industry-leading technology. As an ML engineer on the AGI team, you will be responsible for spearheading the development of novel algorithms and techniques to advance the state of Large Language Model (LLM) training. You'll leverage Amazon's heterogeneous data sources and large-scale computing resources to accelerate the development of multimodal Large Language Models and Generative Artificial Intelligence solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating closely with Applied Scientists on LLM fine-tuning experiments and prototypes to build automated training workflows
• Investigating design approaches, prototyping new technology, and evaluating technical feasibility
• Processing data and scaling machine learning models while optimizing performance
• Working in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software against aggressive schedules
