This role is part of the Nitro SSD initiative, a strategic AWS project focused on enhancing storage solutions across global data centers.

As a Software Development Engineer in the Nitro SSD Observability team, you'll be at the forefront of building and operating large-scale monitoring and real-time telemetry systems. The role combines innovative problem-solving with practical implementation, requiring expertise in distributed systems and cloud technologies.

The position offers an opportunity to work on challenging problems at Amazon-scale, building solutions that span from embedded software platforms to large-scale distributed systems.   • Build and operate large-scale distributed software systems for monitoring and observability of storage platform
  • Work backward from customer input to build and drive product roadmap
  • Build strategic vision and drive tactical execution in defining and delivering new products and services

Requirements For Software Development Engineer, Nitro SSD Observability

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience programming with object oriented programming languages like Java, C++, Python (preferred)
  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience with AWS services including CloudWatch, Kinesis, DynamoDB (preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience building and operating distributed systems (preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience with telemetry, observability and monitoring of cloud services (preferred)
