Software Development Engineer, Route 53 Waypoint

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the Route 53 Waypoint team, focusing on DNS services and infrastructure. The role involves working with Amazon's global DNS service, Route 53, which operates in over 50 locations worldwide. The team is responsible for building and maintaining highly available and scalable DNS services, including Private DNS, DNS Firewall, and DNS resolver integration with AWS services.

The position offers an opportunity to work on deep technical problems spanning various computer science topics, from databases to networking, distributed systems, numerical analysis, and security. The R53 Waypoint team specifically owns the highly scalable DNS data plane for Public and Private Hosted Zone, focusing on building new services and features while scaling systems to process millions of requests per second using XDP/eBPF.
