Software Development Engineer, Smart Home

The Alexa Smart Home Cameras team at Amazon is seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer to join their innovative team. This role combines both individual contribution and technical leadership, focusing on developing technology across Computer Vision, media streaming, and real-time communication for Alexa-enabled devices.

The position involves working on the Cameras customer experience for Echo and FireTV devices, developing APIs for both Amazon's own products (Ring, Blink) and third-party partners. The team enables features like "Alexa, show the front door" and ambient features including automatic announcements with live camera views for detecting interesting events.

As a Senior SDE, you'll be responsible for leading technical aspects of product development, creating roadmaps, and working with cross-functional teams to bring innovative products to market. The compensation is highly competitive, ranging from $151,300 to $261,500 based on location, plus additional benefits including equity and sign-on bonuses.
