Solutions Design Engineer, Operations Engineering

Amazon is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Solutions Design Engineer for their EMEA fulfillment network. The role involves deep-diving into current processes, equipment, and procedures to develop creative and implementable process improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will design and develop new and existing fulfillment center layouts, have a strong background in developing high-performance physical systems, excellent problem-solving and project management skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Owning the design and development of engineering solutions for complex material handling challenges
• Leading concept and design development efforts for optimal solutions
• Working with vendors, suppliers, and other teams to create innovative solutions
• Managing high-visibility projects and tasks
• Conducting post-mortem analyses on designs after implementation
• Collaborating with various teams to ensure thorough documentation and smooth launches
• Developing and updating design standards
• Building strong relationships with key company partners

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field, extensive experience in design/innovation or related areas, proficiency with complex MHE and packaging lines, and fluency in English. The position may require up to 30% travel and can be based in Spain, Italy, Luxembourg, or the United Kingdom.
