As a Senior Network Development Engineer (Sr. NDE), you'll be at the forefront of designing network automation services for monitoring, troubleshooting, and debugging the Kuiper Satellite Network.
Your role involves:
- Designing and implementing network automation services for fault detection and resolution
- Creating complex dashboards and alarming systems
- Collaborating with vendors to evaluate and implement new hardware/software features
- Working with cross-functional teams on requirements and product design
- Automating optical test plans and qualifying optical modules
- Participating in on-call rotations for monitoring and support
Daily responsibilities include:
- Reviewing network monitoring alerts across manufacturing facilities and operations centers
- Analyzing metrics to ensure optimal testing in manufacturing and labs
- Developing software tools for automated testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics
- Working in mission operations to maintain optimal satellite network health
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams on hardware/software solutions
The position requires expertise in:
- Network protocols and optical network design
- Automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell, or Perl
- Linux/Unix environments
- Layer 1-3 networking issues
- Cloud services (AWS)
