Description For Sr. Power Electronics Engineer, AWS Board Core Design and Services Team

The AWS Hardware team drives system innovation in the servers used by all of Amazon Web Services, including EC2, S3, and CloudFront. Our engineers solve the hardest problems that fuse software, hardware, and the cloud. We take big bets on new concepts, enabling AWS services to continue to revolutionize the industry.

As a member of the Hardware Engineering team, you will own server power. You will have demonstrated results in the power delivery for entire servers. You will have a deep understanding of voltage regulators (VRs) and server-level power distribution. You will interact with an interdisciplinary team of engineers to design, develop, validate, and launch at large scale power components used in our servers.

You'll provide leadership for how power is delivered in our servers in a continuous effort to deliver and improve a world-class customer experience. This is a fast-paced, intellectually challenging position. You will work with thought leaders in multiple technology areas. You have high standards for yourself and everyone you work with. You will be constantly looking for ways to improve performance, quality, and cost.

Responsibilities For Sr. Power Electronics Engineer, AWS Board Core Design and Services Team

Requirements For Sr. Power Electronics Engineer, AWS Board Core Design and Services Team

Linux
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience in server power system design
  • 7+ years of experience with analog power electronics, power supply circuitry, and circuit protection
  • 7+ years of experience in developing power component functional specifications, design verification plans, root cause analysis, and resolution
