Sr. Software Dev Engineer, Inclusive eXperiences and Technology (IXT)

As the Software Development Engineer for Born Inclusive at Amazon, you will be responsible for delivering tools and processes to embed inclusion and equity into everything Amazon creates. Born Inclusive is a new program providing tools, processes, and guidance to enable Amazon's product, engineering, user experience, and science teams to easily build inclusion into their creations. This program will improve products used by Amazon's 1.5 million employees and hundreds of millions of customers worldwide.

In this strategic individual contributor role, you will:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to enable the delivery of transformative inclusive experiences
• Focus on providing Amazon's builders with processes and tools for effortless creation of truly inclusive products
• Own front-end, back-end, or full stack design and development of product features
• Build scale, efficiency, and differentiated customer experiences
• Deliver solutions within a DevOps model, from scoping requirements to launch
• Communicate with users, technical teams, and management to collect requirements and describe features

Key Qualifications:

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
• Full software development life cycle experience (preferred)
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent (preferred)
