Sys Dev Engineer, Fire TV

FireTV is transforming the global TV landscape as the preferred operating system for leading TV manufacturers worldwide. The Smart TV Solution Engineering team is responsible for delivering integrated smartTV experiences at planet scale for partner branded SmartTV business. As a Systems Development Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of defining, designing, and refining the technology that keeps Amazon in sync with their partners.

The role involves working closely with FireTV developers, SoC vendors, ODMs, Hardware team, and technical program managers to create new features, optimize related issues, and deliver high-quality smart TV products. You'll be responsible for leading complex technical initiatives, mentoring developers, and bringing innovative solutions to technical challenges.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience developing and building Android systems and applications, with a deep understanding of platform limitations. You'll need to design and implement additional services or optimize existing ones to meet product requirements. The position requires in-depth expertise in Android systems, proficiency in Java and Kotlin, and a good understanding of the Multimedia domain.
