Responsibilities For System Dev Engineer, Amazon Robotics

  • Design, simplify and continuously improve system controls architecture
  • Develop controls code utilizing structured text and ladder-logic
  • Identify and implement system optimizations
  • Debug internal and field issues
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers
  • Contribute to value engineering of system components
  • 25% travel expected to support onsite system testing

Requirements For System Dev Engineer, Amazon Robotics

  • 1+ years of designing or architecting systems experience
  • Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals
  • Experience programming with modern languages (C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby)
  • BS / MS Electrical Engineering or similar field
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, Siemens PLCs, and/or Soft PLCs/IPCs
  • 6+ years of experience in control systems or industrial automation
  • Experience with IEC standards for electrical controls for robotics
  • Experience with Functional Safety standards
  • Solid debugging skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
