System Development Engineer II, REALM

The REALM Team in Hyderabad is seeking a System Development Engineer II/DevOps professional to provide first-level support for over 100 different services in Amazon Transportation Technology. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving production software issues, developing monitoring solutions, and implementing fixes for internally developed code (Perl, Ruby, Java). The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong communication and organizational skills, and be able to work independently under pressure.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting and developing technologies to increase global collaboration and efficiency
• Working directly with development teams to improve applications
• Collaborating with technical teams to ensure effective design across platform stacks
• Building proactive detection mechanisms for software performance
• Developing tools and automations to optimize systems and simplify processes

The role requires experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure, programming skills in modern languages (Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust), Linux/Unix experience, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines. Experience with distributed systems at scale is preferred.
