System Development Engineer, Prime Video Device Services

Prime Video is seeking a System Development Engineer to join their Device Services team, focusing on building the future of entertainment technology. This role is part of Amazon's Living Room organization, which deploys its platform to more than 2000+ devices including televisions, consoles, set-top boxes, and streaming sticks. The position combines software development with systems engineering, requiring expertise in both programming and audiovisual technologies.

The role involves working with custom Harness solutions that automate testing and control of AV devices via HDMI, IP, and other interfaces. You'll be responsible for developing best practices, refining operational procedures, and continuously innovating to improve testing and control systems. The position requires strong technical skills in Python programming, understanding of AV standards, and experience with data center infrastructure.

As part of the Living Room organization, you'll work on ensuring customers worldwide can view content consistently across all devices. The team operates in a dynamic environment where innovation and customer focus are paramount. You'll have opportunities to influence technical strategy, collaborate across engineering teams, and experiment with new technologies.

The ideal candidate should be autonomous, detail-oriented, and possess strong communication skills. You'll participate in all stages of the software and hardware development lifecycle, from definition to delivery.
