Description For System Development Engineer, REALM

The SFS DevOps Team at Amazon is seeking a System Development Engineer/DevOps professional to join their team in Hyderabad. This role focuses on supporting and maintaining 100+ different services in Amazon Transportation Technology. The position demands a quick learner who can handle multiple tasks simultaneously while providing first-level support for production software applications. You'll be responsible for troubleshooting, monitoring, and improving systems, working with various development teams, and implementing solutions that prevent outages.

The role offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge transportation systems at a global scale, directly impacting Amazon's customers. You'll be involved in developing monitoring solutions, performing software maintenance, implementing fixes in various programming languages, and automating support processes. The position requires coordination between multiple Development, Operations, and IT Support groups, providing exposure to various aspects of Amazon's technical infrastructure.

  • Act as first level support for production software application issues
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and fix production software issues
  • Develop monitoring solutions
  • Perform software maintenance and configuration
  • Implement fixes for internally developed code
  • Perform SQL queries
  • Work alongside development on Amazon Corporate and Divisional Software projects
  • Build tools and automations to optimize the system
  • Work on proactive detection mechanism to report software performance
