Sr. Software Engineering Manager, Platform

Amplitude is seeking a Sr. Software Engineering Manager for their Platform team. This role is responsible for building and maintaining build, deployment, and productivity tools for other engineers at Amplitude. The focus has been on creating a new CI/CD pipeline using Argo toolset, with future plans to develop a development and debugging environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the team from concept to implementation
• Planning, executing, and delivering multiple projects
• Facilitating engineering discussions and mentoring on technical implementation and best practices
• Helping engineers grow and adopt new tools and technologies

The ideal candidate should have:

• Exceptional communication skills and a track record of successful delivery
• Experience in engineering management or technical leadership
• Strong technical background in tools like Kubernetes and Argo toolset
• A belief in the importance of engineering managers staying close to technical problems
• A commitment to making positive cultural impacts on the broader engineering team
