Software Engineer, Claude.AI

Anthropic is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Claude.AI product team and help build innovative interfaces and APIs that enable powerful interactions with advanced language models. This role is at the forefront of reinventing how machines work with humans, pushing the boundaries of AI-powered productivity tools.

As a Software Engineer on the Claude.AI team, you will:

• Architect and build core components of the API layer for seamless interaction with large language models • Develop intelligent conversational interfaces leveraging language models to streamline tasks and boost productivity • Optimize APIs and interfaces for performance, scalability, and intuitive user experience • Collaborate with researchers to continuously improve interfaces based on real-world user interactions and feedback • Implement tools and processes to monitor model behavior, performance, and alignment with user needs • Contribute to developing novel human-machine interaction paradigms that redefine how we work with AI

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience as a software engineer, preferably building APIs and/or interfaces. Strong coding skills and experience with service-oriented architectures are essential. We're looking for someone who takes a user-centric approach to product development, prioritizing robust, scalable, and intuitive solutions.

We offer a competitive compensation package with a salary range of $300,000 - $405,000 USD, along with equity and comprehensive benefits.
