This highly visible role will be at the center of low-power architecture, power modeling, and correlation efforts, with a critical impact on delivering functional products to hundreds of millions of customers quickly.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Defining power-efficient SOC architecture and schemes, writing power specifications
  • Estimating pre-silicon power, building wireless application and atomic power models with high accuracy
  • Defining and generating power vectors with Design and DV support
  • Collecting pre-silicon power data using power flow and tools
  • Analyzing and identifying power reductions
  • Supporting post-silicon power correlation

The ideal candidate will have:

  • BS degree and 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong ASIC power knowledge
  • Experience with Power tools (e.g., PTPX and Power Artist)
  • Understanding of ASIC logic design
  • Knowledge of low power design and UPF
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Shell, Perl, or Python)
  • Basic knowledge of common SOC components (e.g., CPU, fabric, peripherals, PCIe)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred qualifications include pre-silicon power estimation and modeling experience, actual low power design experience, wireless knowledge (WIFI, BT, UWB), ASIC PD and STA knowledge, system architecture experience, in-depth knowledge of common SOC components, and post-silicon functional debug and power correlation experience.

Apple offers a competitive compensation package, including base pay ranging from $175,800 to $312,200, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Employees also have opportunities for stock awards, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.
