CAD Engineering Program Manager

Apple's Hardware Technology Engineering Program Management Team is seeking an innovative and energetic Engineering Program Manager (EPM) to support the Silicon Engineering CAD organization. This role requires technical skills in front-end and back-end silicon CAD design flows, as well as strong communication and program management abilities to drive schedules and resolve issues across multiple projects and technology nodes.

As a CAD EPM focused on Silicon projects, you will:

• Work directly with hardware Technology teams
• Craft project plans and align CAD team work across multiple parallel projects
• Identify and resolve blockers
• Drive high-level achievements by focusing the CAD team on meeting near-term landmarks
• Unblock technical issues by collaborating with multi-functional technical specialists
• Manage and track project schedules
• Participate in early planning of new projects, including resourcing and scheduling
• Develop and track new project schedules and resource metrics
• Lead weekly schedule and communication meetings with upper management
• Ensure effective project schedule and dependency communication with the design team

The ideal candidate will have:

• A BS degree with 10+ years of relevant experience
• Chip design and/or CAD flow knowledge
• Experience in Front-end (Logic design, Synthesis, DV or DFT) or Back-end (PNR, STA, LVS, DRC, Extraction) CAD Tools/Flows
• Program/project management experience leading Silicon projects/CAD Projects
• Strong technical understanding to participate in discussions and problem-solving
• Excellent leadership skills and ability to inspire team members
• Experience handling conflicting priorities and driving results
• A track record of successfully delivering multiple silicon tapeouts
• The ability to work across multiple sites and cross-functionally throughout the organization
