Description For CPU CDC/RDC/STA Engineer

As a CPU CDC/RDC/STA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in analyzing design and driving fixes for Apple's CPU development. You'll be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving Lint, Clock Domain Crossing (CDC), Reset Domain Crossing (RDC), and Static Timing Analysis (STA) constraints and methodology across multiple design sites.

The role involves working closely with RTL and DV teams to implement System Verilog assertions, identifying and resolving CDC/RDC issues, and maintaining key STA checks for CPU designs. You'll collaborate with various teams including RTL, Verification, CAD, and Physical Design, while also working with EDA vendor representatives to drive improvements and new methodologies.

This position offers competitive compensation with a base pay range of $175,800 to $312,200, plus additional benefits including comprehensive medical coverage, retirement benefits, and equity opportunities through stock programs. Responsibilities For CPU CDC/RDC/STA Engineer

  • Developing, improving, and maintaining the CDC and RDC sign-offs for CPU designs
  • Working with RTL and DV teams to recommend System Verilog assertions
  • Highlighting CDC/RDC issues and recommending solutions
  • Developing and maintaining key STA checks and associated sign-offs
  • Debugging vendor tool problems
  • Working with EDA vendor representatives
  • Collaborating with RTL, Verification, CAD, and Physical Design teams

Requirements For CPU CDC/RDC/STA Engineer

Linux
  • Minimum BS and 10+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience with Clock-Domain Crossing (CDC) and Reset Domain Crossing (RDC)
  • Scripting experience in Tcl or Perl
  • Experience in Verilog
