Apple is seeking an Engineering Program Specialist for OS Build to join their Software and Services team. This role involves working cross-functionally to gather requirements for shipping OS software, providing daily prioritized information to the build and integration team, and owning the responsibility for delivering beta software for Mac, iPhone, iPad, HomePod, Apple TV, and Apple Watch to customers and developers. The ideal candidate will have strong OS fundamentals, excellent communication skills, and a passion for software automation and release engineering.
Key responsibilities include: • Managing source changes for nightly builds • Identifying, escalating, and communicating key issues • Developing strategies to improve build release and software deployment processes • Driving resolutions on build issues with engineering teams • Managing risk in the release endgame leading up to customer launch • Releasing software to seed users and customers
The role requires a BS/MS in EE/CS/CE or equivalent, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and strong project management abilities. Experience in Build and Release Engineering/Release Management, project management in software development life cycle, and Unix programming/scripting is highly desirable.
