As a Hardware Engineering intern at Apple, you'll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and products that millions of customers use every day. You'll be involved in various aspects of hardware engineering, including:

  1. Camera/Touch/Display Engineering: Working on optics, flat panel hardware, and touch mechanical design. You'll design and implement experiments to validate new materials and optimize performance and reliability.

  2. Wireless Technologies: Focusing on antenna design, RF system level validation, automated software/tool development, and RF system analysis.

  3. ASIC / VLSI: Engaging in RTL design & implementation, verification, integration, validation, emulation, and various aspects of chip design including power/tech & circuits, CAD, STA, physical design, and more.

  4. System Development: Contributing to electrical system design and integration, system-level testing support, schematic capture, and bug resolution.

  5. Acoustics/Audio: Involved in hardware design for speakers and microphones, mechanical design and prototyping, system integration, noise and vibration analysis, and audio feature design using software and machine learning.

  6. Embedded Systems: Working on low-level microcontroller code development, prototyping concepts, design verification using FPGA, and streamlining electrical design.

  7. Firmware Development: Writing and debugging low-level firmware, drivers, protocols, and developing embedded firmware solutions.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on products like Apple Vision Pro, iPhone, iPad, Watch, and Mac computers, gaining hands-on experience in engineering processes that support design, integration, implementation, testing, and qualification of various electrical sub-systems.

  • Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Must return to school to continue education after the internship or the internship must be the last requirement for graduation
