Description For Hardware System Electrical Engineer

Apple is seeking a Hardware System Electrical Engineer to join their Hardware Technology group. This role is part of a premier design team responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, and integration of the baseband system for all Apple products. The position focuses on the digital and power management domain of wireless chipsets, from concept to product announcement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with world-class architects and IC designers on next-gen chipset's Power/Digital/Clock management
  • Driving schematics, layout, and bring-up of both development and form factor hardware
  • Debugging hardware, software, and co-existence issues
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Apple SoC, battery, sensors, iOS, etc.)
  • Maintaining a firm grasp of the entire product landscape outside of wireless design

The ideal candidate should have strong electrical engineering fundamentals, experience with schematic capture, layout design and review, and strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Experience with mobile platform system design, system integration, voltage regulators, high-speed digital interfaces, and signal/power integrity simulation is preferred.

  • Willingness to travel internationally (may be required)
