As an RFIC Layout Engineer at Apple, you will be a key member of the Wireless SoC Radio Team, working on state-of-the-art highly energy efficient CMOS radios. You'll be responsible for the layout and verification of custom RF and analog IP for complex SoC products, working closely with the RFIC design team. Your work will have a critical impact on developing Apple's cutting-edge radios for hundreds of millions of products.
Key responsibilities include: • Detailed transistor-level layout of RF and analog circuit blocks (LNA, mixers, PLL, LO generation, modulators, power amplifiers, ADC/DAC, baseband filters, bandgap/bias/LDO) • Block level layout through full verification flow (extraction, DRC, LVS, DFM checking) • Collaborating with designers on block level floorplanning • Layout review for power/ground routing, electromigration, signal path check, differential and IQ matching, and signal coupling
You'll be working with advanced CMOS technology nodes and FinFET technology, applying your expertise in custom RF/analog layout for radio transceivers. The role requires a deep understanding of layout techniques for device matching, minimizing parasitics, RF shielding, and high-frequency routing.
This position offers the opportunity to work on transformative technologies that enhance user experience at the product level, all driven by a world-class, vertically integrated engineering team. You'll be part of a team spanning various disciplines, including RF/Analog architecture and design, Systems/PHY/MAC architecture and design, VLSI/RTL design and integration, Emulation, Design Verification, Test and Validation, and FW/SW engineering.
Join Apple's Hardware team and contribute to the development of next-generation wireless technologies that will shape the future of consumer electronics.
