Description For RFIC - PLL Design Engineer

Apple's wireless RFIC team is seeking a passionate and innovative RFIC - PLL Design Engineer to join their groundbreaking hardware development efforts. This role sits at the heart of wireless SoC design, where you'll be responsible for crafting sophisticated radio transceivers that power hundreds of millions of Apple products worldwide. As part of an outstanding vertically integrated engineering team, you'll work across multiple disciplines including RF/Analog architecture, Systems/PHY/MAC, and VLSI/RTL design.

The position offers an unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge wireless connectivity solutions that directly impact Apple's product ecosystem. You'll be responsible for providing analog and digital PLL solutions for wireless SoC and driving them to mass production. The role involves close collaboration with platform architecture, wireless design, RF HW, and SW teams to define and implement radio features that enable wireless innovation.

Your work will involve hands-on design from concept to implementation, including architecture development, topology design, and transistor-level feasibility studies. You'll be responsible for critical decisions regarding power, area, and performance trade-offs while ensuring designs meet stringent product requirements. The position requires expertise in RF/analog and mixed-signal design, particularly in areas such as fractional N synthesizers, digital PLLs, and LO-Gen systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical skills and a desire to push the boundaries of wireless technology. You'll be working with state-of-the-art tools and technologies, contributing to products that define the future of consumer electronics. The role offers competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and the chance to work with some of the industry's best engineers in a collaborative, innovation-driven environment.
