Description For SoC Display Subsystem Validation Engineering Program Manager

This role is for a SoC Display Subsystem Validation Engineering Program Manager within Apple's Hardware Technologies Team. You'll lead strategic planning and execution of end-to-end validation for SoC display subsystems, working with multi-functional teams on architecture-guided feature enablement, de-risking, and validation plans at both SoC and System levels. Key responsibilities include collaborating on "Golden C-model" development, early software driver development, SoC pre/post-silicon validation, and image quality evaluation. You'll debug technical issues, facilitate communication across teams, and provide clear status reporting to executives. This high-visibility position requires translating complex technical discussions into actionable plans and concise messaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish early end-to-end validation and de-risk strategies for SoC display subsystems
  • Collaborate on "Golden C-model" development, software driver development, and validation processes
  • Debug and drive resolution of technical silicon and system issues
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication and collaboration
  • Provide clear risk and status reporting, including executive-level summaries

Required Qualifications:

  • BS degree with 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience in SoC pre-/post-silicon or platform level validation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical Program Management or Engineering Management experience
  • Knowledge of SoC display pipe architecture and digital signal processing
  • Exposure to various display technologies
  • Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to distill and communicate complex information effectively
  • Strong project ownership and metric-driven development skills
  • Thrives in dynamic, schedule-driven environments
  • Exceptional leadership and team motivation abilities
  • Experience in multi-disciplined engineering environments
