Description For Manufacturing Engineer

Arc Boat Company is revolutionizing the marine industry by building electric water sport boats. Their vision is to electrify all waterborne vessels, addressing the shortcomings of traditional gas boats. Using modern, aerospace- and automotive-inspired techniques, Arc is developing hulls, batteries, cooling systems, firmware, and software to deliver the next generation of watercraft.

As a Manufacturing Engineer at Arc, you'll join a dynamic, fast-paced environment that values ownership, empathy, humility, pragmatism, and inclusion. Your role will involve developing new manufacturing processes, providing manufacturing feedback for design decisions, creating and managing manufacturing BOMs and work instructions, interfacing with contractors and suppliers, and architecting manufacturing systems for next-generation products.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing new manufacturing processes
  • Assisting with design decisions for high-rate production
  • Creating and managing manufacturing documentation
  • Dispositioning rework and repairs during manufacturing
  • Designing production tooling using hand calculations and CAD
  • Architecting manufacturing systems for future products

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
  • 2+ years of experience in battery manufacturing
  • At least 12 months of industry experience (internships count)
  • Willingness to be hands-on in building next-generation boats

Responsibilities For Manufacturing Engineer
