Staff Software Engineer, Search

Arc XP, a division of The Washington Post, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their backend engineering team focused on content retrieval systems. This role offers an opportunity to work on a platform that serves over 2000 media sites globally, reaching 1.5 billion unique users. The position involves architecting and implementing cloud-based APIs, with a special focus on search infrastructure using OpenSearch/Elasticsearch. As a technical leader, you'll collaborate across teams on performance, scalability, security, and cost optimization.
