Platform Engineer, Parse.ly

Parse.ly, a part of WordPress VIP, is seeking a Platform Engineer to join their team. As a Platform Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the development solutions for Parse.ly's real-time analytics systems. The role involves working with a technology stack including Python, AWS, databases like Elasticsearch and Cassandra, and system management tools like Ansible and Terraform. You'll be part of a team that handles over 65 billion monthly events from over 1 billion monthly unique visitors.

Key responsibilities include:

• Implementing and managing infrastructure as code practices
• Developing and maintaining monitoring and observability solutions
• Designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Automating infrastructure management and maintenance
• Working with developers to establish practices for deploying and managing apps
• Gaining operational expertise in core data infrastructure technologies
• Contributing to Python software development projects
• Participating in the team's on-call rotation
