AWS Elemental, a leading provider of software-defined video solutions for multiscreen content delivery, is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join their Global Technical Support Team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with enterprise customers, managing complex technical issues in both on-premises and cloud-based workflows.

As a Cloud Support Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of transformational technology, working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you'll handle multiple priorities and complex technical challenges. You'll own customer issues throughout their complete lifecycle, providing expert technical support and working independently on sophisticated problems that may span multiple organizations.

Responsibilities For Cloud Support Engineer - Media, AWS Elemental

  • Track, investigate, and resolve customer questions and issues by phone and email
  • Act as an escalation point for complex issues spanning multiple organizations
  • Communicate with internal organizations for root cause analyses and issue resolution
  • Develop and implement complex repro cases to identify software defects
  • Manage and prioritize issues using case management tools
  • Act as a role model to other support engineers
  • Develop training material and documentation
  • Deliver field support services to customers
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation for post-sale customer support

Requirements For Cloud Support Engineer - Media, AWS Elemental

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, or experience in technical support
  • Experience working in enterprise-level technical/customer support
  • Experience with Linux operating systems, particularly with networking and system administration
  • Experience with LAN configuration, Internet protocols, server applications and related troubleshooting tools
  • Knowledge of compressed and uncompressed digital video and audio standards (preferred)
  • Knowledge of video packaging and delivery mechanisms (preferred)
  • Experience with Cloud Computing, especially Amazon Web Services (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Linux-based scripting languages (preferred)
