Responsibilities For Sr. Embedded Algorithms Engineer
- Research novel methods for vital sign signal extraction using high frequency sensor data
- Work with product team to define algorithm requirements and test metrics
- Iterate rapidly to develop algorithm prototypes and communicate performance tradeoffs
- Port algorithms to C/C++ and optimize computations to meet processor and power constraints
- Develop test protocols for data collection team
- Perform QA to ensure the product meets the requirements
- Develop and maintain internal signal evaluation tools
- Assist in designing and conducting studies to evaluate new hardware/firmware prototypes
Requirements For Sr. Embedded Algorithms Engineer
- PhD or MS in EE, CS, or related engineering field
- 5+ years experience in signal processing methods and algorithm design
- Experience with pre-processing and analyzing large time-series datasets
- Experience in embedded C/C++, especially in resource constrained systems
- Experience with embedded microcontrollers, such as ARM Cortex M0/M4 or similar
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong critical thinking skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure in a startup environment
