Infrastructure Engineer

BlueCrest Capital Management is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join their team in London. This role is crucial for supporting and maintaining the company's Linux estate and Automation Services, providing robust solutions based on leading technologies to enhance and support the business.

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering excellent levels of service to the business, understanding key business processes, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance business performance. You'll work in a time-sensitive environment, balancing critical BAU and technology service delivery elements while implementing new solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting and maintaining the BlueCrest Linux estate
• Implementing and supporting new and existing technology initiatives
• Automating and orchestrating cross-platform services
• Managing server hardware implementation, maintenance, and monitoring
• Working with multi-protocol NAS and Block storage solutions
• Operating and architecting Veritas NetBackup systems

The ideal candidate should have:

• RedHat Certified System Administrator/Engineer (RHCSA/RHCSE) certification (desirable)
• Extensive knowledge of RedHat Enterprise Linux Server (8 & 9) and container administration
• Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Jenkins, and ServiceNow
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, and working with APIs
• Understanding of storage solutions and their integration points
• A keen interest in learning new technologies in an enterprise trading environment
