Description For GCP DevOps Engineer

Their technology is used by leading financial institutions to keep millions of consumers safe.

Callsign is now venturing into a multi-cloud strategy and seeking exceptional talent with experience in Google Cloud Platform. As a GCP DevOps Engineer at Callsign, you will play a critical role in working with the engineering team to develop, implement, optimize, and maintain cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the design, implementation, and operational support of infrastructure on GCP
  • Automating environment provisioning and deployment using orchestration scripts
  • Supporting, troubleshooting, monitoring, and optimizing production systems
  • Ensuring system stability, security, efficiency, and scalability
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams for seamless software deployment
  • Enhancing monitoring and troubleshooting solutions with GCP's operations suite
  • Leading initiatives to upgrade and scale systems for improved availability, reliability, and performance
  • Establishing DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment strategies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Professional experience with GCP managed services, Kubernetes, and databases
  • Familiarity with the latest GCP offerings, especially those launched or highlighted in 2024
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, GoLang)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Terraform
  • Proficiency with Observability stack (NewRelic, Prometheus, Grafana, EFK)
  • Strong understanding of database management (SQL and NoSQL)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Effective communication skills
