Senior Backend Engineer

Calm is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their Engineering Team. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend systems that power our mobile and web applications. You'll work closely with a team of engineers, designers, product managers, and customers to ensure that our products are reliable, performant, and secure.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop technical specifications
• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and secure backend systems
• Leading development of complex backend features and services
• Writing high-quality, well-documented code with high test coverage
• Implementing backend features with instrumentation and monitoring
• Staying up-to-date on the latest backend technologies
• Mentoring and training software engineers

Required skills and experience:

• Proficiency in Javascript/Typescript, GoLang, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS/GCP/GKE, Airbyte, and Relational DBs/SQL
• Experience with REST API-based microservices design
• Proven experience in fast-paced, agile environments
• Strong problem-solving and learning abilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of related experience
