Cantina, founded by Sean Parker, is revolutionizing social interaction through their advanced AI character creator platform. As a Prompt Engineer on the Bot Creator team, you'll be at the forefront of social generative AI, working to democratize the creation of hyper-realistic AI personas.
The role combines expertise in NLP, psychology, and sociology to craft compelling AI characters. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and implement key personality traits that make AI bots more engaging and lifelike. Your responsibilities include writing prompts for bot trait prototyping, generating datasets, and evaluating bot creation pipelines.

Responsibilities For Prompt Engineer
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams on personality, behavior, and dialect theories for bots
- Write prompts to prototype new bot traits, generate datasets, and evaluate bot creation pipelines
- Improve Cantina's features through prompt engineering and dataset creation
- Manage multiple projects and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
Requirements For Prompt Engineer
- 1+ years of experience prompt engineering and developing LLM-based features
- Previous experience working on ML teams, creating datasets and evaluating model output
- Deep interest and understanding of psychology and sociology pertaining to personality, behavior, and dialect
- Strong ability to communicate design concepts and processes
- Track record of working independently and collaborating with product, design, and engineering
