Android Engineer

Captions is the AI-powered creative studio empowering millions of creators worldwide to make their video content stand out. Based in NYC, we're a team of ambitious, experienced, and devoted engineers, designers, and marketers. You'll join an early team with an outsized impact on both product and company culture.

As an Android Engineer, you'll:

• Design and deliver high-quality, consumer-facing features for Captions' native Android platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ship smooth, stable, and elegant products.
• Lead full-stack mobile application development from inception through launch.
• Influence the Android product and technology roadmap and architecture decisions.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of native Android development experience
• Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and Android SDK
• Experience creating widely used, sophisticated consumer-facing Android applications
• Experience designing and building server-side APIs for mobile applications
• Self-starter with an entrepreneur's intrinsic motivation
