Frontend Engineer

Our squad is responsible for developing and maintaining the Emotion library. Emotion is our main web components library, representing our design system, consisting of 80+ components, layouts, and utilities, thus being the main central point of resources, for building consistent UI's and interactions for all the products in Celonis.

As a Frontend Engineer, you will be responsible for understanding and owning the guidelines and specifications of our design system. You will be maintaining our library core functionality, optimizing the build system, improving speed & performance, ensuring stability as well as bringing new features and improvements to our components to all the above layers.

The work you'll do:

• Create highly performant and scalable components along with improving our existing widgets and components
• Write clean, understandable, and testable code
• Work on complex Angular topics and architectures
• Develop features to enhance other developer's working environment
• Optimize app performance and maintain the existing resources
• Contribute and extend our Core architecture with Angular
• Brings in new exciting ideas and solutions for challenges
• Support & coach junior/mid-level colleagues, by sharing best practices

The qualifications you need:

• +3 years of solid experience in Frontend Development
• University degree in computer science or similar, or equivalent work experience
• Proven experience with Angular 2-11, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML5, CSS/SCSS
• Be familiar with data structures and algorithms, profiling and optimization
• Experience in writing and setting up tests (unit and integration tests) as well as with JS module bundlers such as Webpack
• Experience working in an agile, cross-functional team and in a fast-paced environment
• Have a solid understanding how to setup CI/CD pipelines will be a plus
• Good communication skills (English is a must!)
