Description For Application Developer
Centuria, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is seeking an Application Developer to support the U.S. Fleet Forces Command (USFF) Headquarters in Norfolk, Virginia. This role is part of the USFF Communications and Information Systems Division (N6) Support Team, contributing to Navy Fleet Readiness and Homeland Security. The position requires an ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE and involves developing custom solutions, web site design, dashboards, and business intelligence reports. Key responsibilities include custom application development, Windows server configuration, implementing security controls, and working with technologies such as SharePoint SPFx, Power Platform, Azure Cloud, and various programming languages. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web application development, SharePoint solutions, and Microsoft technologies. Responsibilities For Application Developer
- Develop custom solutions, web site design, dashboards, and business intelligence reports
- Develop custom applications with web front-end interfaces and backend databases
- Install and configure Windows servers with related services and features
- Implement information assurance security controls
- Perform code testing and error validation
- Participate in planning, documentation, and design of SharePoint solutions
- Translate business requirements into specific designs
- Utilize various technologies for application and solution development
- Support Azure Cloud environment administration
- Assist with Azure DevOps configuration and utilization
- Integrate Artificial Intelligence cloud services into solutions
- Develop application technical guides
- Provide support and training to end users
- Participate in regular project meetings
- Provide technical advice and recommendations on current and trending technologies
Requirements For Application Developer
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Associate Degree in Computer Science with additional 2 years of experience
- Six years of web application development and SharePoint custom solutions experience
- Six years of experience in Microsoft Servers, IIS, and Visual Studio
- Microsoft Certified Developer Associate Certifications (or obtain within 30 days if selected)
- Proficient in data modeling, UI/UX design and implementation
- Experience in virtualization technology (Hyper-V and VMware)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and VBA
- Experience with AGILE concepts and best practices
- Experience in implementing STIG and IA policies
- ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED
