Centuria, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is seeking a Converged Infrastructure Engineer to support the U.S. Fleet Forces Command (USFF) Headquarters in Norfolk, VA. This role is part of the USFF Communications and Information Systems Division (N6) Support Team, contributing to Navy Fleet Readiness and Homeland Security.
The engineer will provide IT engineering and technical services for system engineering and support functions, including operation and maintenance of SECRET, NATO, Coalition, and UNCLASSIFIED networks. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, planning, and implementing data center technologies focusing on NetApp, VMware, Citrix, and Cisco Data Center and Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) Technologies.
- Maintaining Citrix, NetApp, VMware vSphere, and Horizon platforms in the USFF Data Center.
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues for a wide range of customers.
- Designing and managing linked-clone image technology on VMware/Horizon View platform (VDI).
- Creating high-quality documentation and participating in technology roadmap development.
- Maintaining system, network, and application security integrity, including C&A packages and compliance with Information Assurance policies.
- Providing 24x7 on-call technical support for USFF operational support.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field (or Associate's degree with additional experience).
- Six years of experience managing data center technologies.
- Experience with NetApp storage and Cisco Data Center Technologies.
- CompTIA SEC+ certification.
- Ability to obtain relevant certifications within 12 months of hire.
