Description For Firmware Features Intern (Product Software) Summer 2025 Meraki

As a Product Software Engineer Intern at Meraki, you will bring life to our products, imbuing them with what some call the Meraki Magic. You will enable our customers to do more things more easily than ever before. You will have opportunities to work across our stack, developing software ranging from bootloaders, device drivers, and routing code to our distributed, cloud-hosted backend.

Projects you might work on:

  • Designing and implementing features (usually in C/C++) to improve the reliability, simplicity, and performance of our devices
  • Bringing up our Linux-based system on new hardware platforms
  • Collaborating with hardware engineers on the design of new platforms

Requirements:

  • Upcoming graduate of a technical degree or certification program
  • Comfortable writing systems-level C/C++
  • Familiarity with computer networking fundamentals
  • Experience with Linux on embedded platforms
  • Understanding of OS fundamentals and experience in kernel and user space
  • Previous internship or large project experience
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

The internship is for the Summer Term (May 27th - August 15th or June 9th - August 29th), full-time work schedule, Monday-Friday 40 hours per week. Applications are expected to close on 11/26/2024.
