Lead Technical Writer

As a Lead Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining Cilium documentation, including developer and user documentation. You'll be at the forefront of users' experience for both Cilium OSS and Cilium Enterprise, making the most technically advanced Kubernetes networking product on the market accessible through first-class documentation. You'll work closely with engineering, solution architects, marketing, and community teams to drive forward and organize content.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead all technical documentation efforts for Isovalent's Cilium distribution
• Create high-quality technical content in collaboration with engineering and solution architects
• Conduct reviews and surveys with customers to improve documentation and information architecture
• Share knowledge on documentation & developer content best practices
• Build a culture of documentation in the community and at the company

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with popular documentation frameworks (e.g., Read the Docs)
• Experience in structuring documentation and creating flows
• 3+ years of experience with GitHub and Git revision management
• Experience in networking, security, and Cloud Native technologies
• Excellent writing skills in English
• Team management skills
• Understanding of markdown and restructured text
