Join Claroty, a leader in national infrastructure protection, as a Principal Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) in Washington, D.C. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering in a mission-critical environment. You'll be responsible for managing and optimizing secure cloud infrastructure within AWS GovCloud, implementing Infrastructure as Code, and ensuring system reliability and compliance with FedRAMP standards.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $200,000 – $260,000 and follows a hybrid work model, allowing for both flexibility and in-person collaboration. You'll lead critical initiatives in infrastructure automation, system resilience, and incident response, working closely with DevOps, security, and federal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include managing cloud infrastructure, implementing IaC using Terraform and Ansible, building monitoring systems, and leading incident response. You'll need 6-8+ years of experience in SRE/DevOps roles, strong expertise in AWS GovCloud, and deep knowledge of compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities For Principal Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

  • Manage and optimize secure cloud infrastructure within AWS GovCloud, ensuring uptime and compliance
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible to automate scalable and secure deployments
  • Build and maintain observability and monitoring systems
  • Lead the on-call rotation, coordinate incident response, and drive post-mortem analysis
  • Maintain and secure networking components
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines and enhance DevSecOps workflows
