Description For Civil Engineer- Water Resources

Our client is seeking a Project Manager specializing in Water Resources to lead dam-related initiatives in San Antonio, Texas. This role combines technical expertise in water resources engineering with project management responsibilities, offering a unique opportunity to shape major infrastructure projects while contributing to the company's strategic growth.

The position requires a strong background in civil engineering, specifically in water resources and dam-related projects. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of relevant experience and hold or be able to obtain a Texas P.E. license. Technical proficiency in industry-standard software like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and HEC-RAS is essential.

Key responsibilities include managing complex water resources projects, ensuring their successful delivery within budget and timeline constraints. The role involves significant client interaction, technical leadership, and business development activities. You'll oversee project planning, design, and execution while maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $120,000 to $130,000 annually. Responsibilities For Civil Engineer- Water Resources

  • Oversee planning, design, and execution of water resources and dam-related projects
  • Prepare and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources
  • Act as main point of contact for water resources clients
  • Provide technical leadership in hydrology, hydraulics, dam safety, flood risk analysis
  • Develop and review technical reports and calculations
  • Build and maintain client relationships
  • Lead proposal development
  • Represent firm at industry events and conferences
  • Act as technical advisor to junior staff
  • Lead project teams

Requirements For Civil Engineer- Water Resources

  • Bachelor's degree from an ABET college/University in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months to 1 year
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in water resources and dam-related engineering
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, PondPack, ArcGIS
  • Experience with Project Management software
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 25 pounds
