Software Engineer, Emerging Talent (Consumer)

Coinbase, a leading cryptocurrency exchange platform, is seeking an Entry-Level Software Engineer to join their Consumer Product Group. This role focuses on building the next generation of crypto-forward products and features, specifically working on the Coinbase retail app to make cryptocurrency accessible globally.

The position involves working with high-frequency, low-latency applications and managing secure, dockerized infrastructure in the cloud. You'll be part of the team responsible for the Coinbase app, advance trade, dapps, and staking features. The role specifically focuses on the UK market expansion, where you'll work closely with the Country Director and cross-functional teams to customize the Coinbase app for UK users.

As a backend engineer, you'll tackle unique, large-scale technical challenges at the intersection of web-scale applications and blockchain technology. The role requires strong coding skills, particularly in technologies like Golang, Protobuff, GRPC, GraphQL, MongoDB, Docker, and Ruby on Rails. Experience in the finance sector and familiarity with blockchain technology is valued but not required.
