Description For Associate Customer Support Engineer

Contentsquare, a leading SaaS company in digital experience analytics, is seeking an Associate Customer Support Engineer to join their Product Support team in the AMERICA region. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work primarily within the Hotjar team, specializing in serving small and mid-market customers, with potential future engagement across Contentsquare and Heap product lines.

As an Associate Customer Support Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of customer support, combining technical expertise with strong customer service skills. Your responsibilities will include providing first-line diagnostic and troubleshooting support, answering customer questions, and resolving product-related issues through the Zendesk ticketing system. You'll also play a crucial role in improving customer experience by creating help center content, collaborating with various departments, and contributing to the evolution of product documentation.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in a customer-facing role or troubleshooting environment, preferably in SaaS or technology. A solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is essential, along with knowledge of APIs, websites, and browser-based tools. Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset are key to success in this role.

This position offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 to $80,000 per year, with the exact compensation determined by factors such as work location, job-related skills, and experience. The role is remote, providing flexibility in work location while being part of a dynamic, growing company at the forefront of digital experience analytics.

Responsibilities For Associate Customer Support Engineer

  • Provide first-line diagnostic/troubleshooting support and technical expertise
  • Answer internal queries from Sales and Success teams
  • Gather and analyze information, evaluate impacts, and resolve or escalate issues
  • Manage customer expectations around resolutions and timelines
  • Act as a customer-facing subject matter expert
  • Help create internal processes to improve response times, including working with chatbots and AI
  • Create help center content, including writing and updating articles, and creating visual content
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Product, Legal, Marketing, Customer Success and Sales

Requirements For Associate Customer Support Engineer

JavaScript
  • Two or more years of experience in a customer-facing role and/or troubleshooting environment
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Grasp of how APIs, websites and browser-based tools work
  • Great tone of voice and ability to explain concepts clearly over written communication
