Description For Manufacturing Software Engineer

Copeland, a global climate technologies company with $5B in revenue, is seeking a Manufacturing Software Engineer for their Ava, MO location. This role combines software development with manufacturing systems support, offering a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of IT and manufacturing operations. The position involves developing software solutions, managing network infrastructure, and supporting manufacturing automation systems.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, with strong programming fundamentals and problem-solving abilities. Experience with .NET, Ignition, Python, or Rockwell Automation is advantageous, as is manufacturing automation experience. This role offers exposure to both traditional software development and industrial automation systems.

Responsibilities For Manufacturing Software Engineer

  • Design and implement high-quality software solutions for web design, desktop software and automation support
  • Manage and monitor network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points
  • Manage network permissions and accounts using Microsoft Active Directory
  • Install, configure, and maintain workstations and related peripheral equipment
  • Troubleshoot, backup and installation of CNC computer hardware and software
  • Diagnose and resolve network, computer, and software issues
  • Handle user access requests through Corporate IT ticketing system

Requirements For Manufacturing Software Engineer

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Information or Engineering field
  • Programming skills and understanding of OOP and data structures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good organizational, presentation and project management skills
  • Ability to manage numerous projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States
